About MHI Hostel
Overview
Mental Health Institute (MHI) Hostel is located at 3rd floor in MHI Building and was started in August 2019. The hostel provides fully centralized air conditioned accommodation to the students (Boys &Girls) of Department of Psychiatry, GMCH-32, Chandigarh who are pursuing different courses i.e. MD-Psychiatry, M.Phil-Clinical Psychology, M.Phil-Psychiatry Social Work and M.Sc.-Psychiatric Nursing . There are 29 rooms, out of which 10 rooms are of single bedded accommodation, 13 are of two bedded accommodation, 2 are of three bedded accommodation and 04 are of two bedded accommodation with attached washroom. These rooms are earmarked course wise for allotment to the above mentioned students enrolled in different courses. The facilities provided by MHI-Hostel to its residents includes two common reading rooms , two sick rooms, Cooperative Mess, Dining Hall, two open terraces and lift facility . A separate visitor room facility is provided to the residents at Ground Floor to entertain their guests keeping in view the safety and security. MHI-Hostel tries to provide its residents a safe, secure, affordable, neat and clean accommodation.
