Dr. Jeet Ram Kashyap, MD (Med), DM (Cardiology), MAMS, FIMSA, is trained as an Undergraduate and Post Graduate in Medicine at the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. He joined this institute as a Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) on 1st April 2004 and then got regular through UPSC on 21st July 2006. He later did his Super-Specialization in Cardiology (DM- Cardiology) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi in 2011. He is the pioneer of Cardiology Service in this institute and has been providing Clinical and Non- Invasive Cardiology since 2005 after getting a short training in Cardiology at GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi and now after his DM in Cardiology he is providing all kinds of Interventional services such as Angiography, Angioplasty and Stenting, Pacemakers, ICD’s and CRT, Device Closure of Various Congenital Defects like ASD, VSD, PDA, and Percutaneous treatment of various structural heart diseases like Mitral Stenosis, Pulmonary Stenosis, Coarctation of Aorta balloon dilatation, etc. There is State of the Art Catheterization Laboratory (CATH LAB) including intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), optical coherence (OCT) tomography, Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) etc. and a high end 3-Dimensional Echocardiography Systems available with him in the Department. He was conferred the Award of Fellow International Medical Science Academy (FIMSA) in 2009 and also the Member of National Academy of Medical Sciences (MAMS) in 2012 in recognition of his excellent work in the field of Medical Sciences. He is life member of Cardiological Society of India, Associations of Physicians of India, Indian Medical Association, and International Associate of American College of Cardiology. He has several publications mostly in International and also in National Journals. He also has delivered several lectures and presentation at various academic forums. Recently he has presented his Research work in San Diego, California, USA in ACC.2015. His main areas of interest are Interventional and Paediatric Cardiology.
