June, 2011 Nutrition Education programme for inmates of Aashrya(Home for Mentally Challenged).
September, 2011 Exhibition on Nutrition awareness in diseases.
September, 2012 Poster competition themed “Sports Nutrition”, Nutrition Games, Nutrition Awareness stalls& presentation “ Prevention of microbial contamination in food & hygiene and sanitation programme” was organized.
January, 2013 Nutrition Awareness stalls on the eve of “Euphoria” for school students in Govt. Medical College, Sector 32.
04th September 2017 Nutrition week programme was organized on 4th Sept 2017 in the department of dietetics. In this programme educative recipes with dummy demonstrations was displayed by dieticians and interns of the department and explained to the staff visiting the stalls.
Chief Dietician Mrs. Madhu Arora gave a presentation to the kitchen workers on healthy cooking and hygiene and videos on hygiene and sanitation practices were also shown to the kitchen workers. Nutrition games and a nutrition quiz were also conducted in which the staff of GMCH participated. Skit was performed by the interns of the department on the topic of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation.
14th November 2017 Department of Dietetics organized a general awareness programme for the diabetic patients on the “World Diabetes Day” on 14 Nov.2017.
 
  Highlights of the programme were:
  • In this programme there were about 150 persons including patients who came from different OPDs and visited the stall.
  • We have given counseling to 39 patients on diabetes in which 36 patients were of NIDDM (Non Insulin Dependent Diabetic Mellitus) and 3 patients were of IDDM (Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus).
  • Educative recipes on diabetes alongwith their nutritive value were displayed through posters and models.
  • Free Diabetic recipes were also distributed to diabetic patients.
     
17th January 2018 Euphoria Function 2018 held in the GMCH on 17 Jan 2018, Chief Dietician Mrs. Madhu Arora, Junior Dietician Reema Bhatia and Junior Dietician Anita took a part in the function.
 
  • Lecture was delivered on the topic of “Dietary habits of school going children” under the program “Integrated Health Education 2018 by Junior Dietician Anita on 17th January 2018 at 10:30 A.M.
  • Stalls were put by the department which included nutrition recipes, posters, food pyramid, Do’s and Don’ts on Dietary habits of school going children were displayed for the students in the stalls.
  • Nutrition games, Healthy recipes, Healthy drinks were displayed for the school going children.
